The Alliance Health Project is an active participant in the community. We work with other community organizations and events, stage fundraisers, and create forums and workshops on topics relevant to the people who depend on us.

Life on All Fours—Book Signing and Reading
By author DAVID FREDRICKSON
AHP Services Center
FEBRUARY 26, 2015, 6:30pm–8:00pm
Join AHP volunteer group facilitator David Fredrickson as he reads from his just-published volume, signs books, and answers questions about Life on All Fours. Writer, advocate, and psychotherapist, David has dedicated his career and volunteer activities to those voices that are often unheard, including at-risk children, adolescents, and families, and people affected by HIV/AIDS. Life on All Fours chronicles the experience of crisis, healing, and love in the time of HIV/AIDS, told with the wide-eyed wonder of a puppy. A portion of the book sales will benefit AHP.
Review on Amazon for Life on All Fours:
“David Fredrickson’s writing is honest and touching. The story is about friendship, family, love and loss and 100% San Francisco. The dog’s voice is gentle, playful and filled with very funny insights into humans and how we act. Wonderful companion for a Sunday afternoon in the park!”
Art for AIDS
October 9, 2015: AHP will hold its 19th annual—and now legendary—Art for AIDS art auction at City View at the Metreon. Join us for an evening of elegance, art, fine wine, gourmet food, famously inventive cocktails, the performance of our charismatic auctioneer Patrick Walsh, and a great time to enjoy meeting a community that defines itself by its love of art and its desire to help.
Health and Wellness Workshops and Events
AHP is committed to supporting the health and wellness of all members of the communities we serve through workshops and other activities that bring community members together in one space. Past workshops have engaged topics such as Dating, Relationships, and Sex; Body Image; Embracing Being Single; and Aging.
AHP is also committed to allying with other agencies and participating in events—such as street fairs—organized by other groups.
