Testing for HIV or an STD

The AIDS Health Project provides free HIV counseling and testing to gay and bisexual men, men who have sex with men, and transgendered men who are San Francisco residents. In 1985, AHP opened the first counseling and testing site in the world and delivers more than 4,000 HIV tests per year.

A diverse team of counselors offers both anonymous and confidential services at various sites throughout the city. AHP provides either rapid testing (results within an hour) or standard testing (results in one week), sexually transmitted disease (STD) testing, multilingual counseling and testing.
