Getting Immediate Help for a Mental Health Crisis

AHP’s HIV Mental Health Crisis Team provides care—at the AHP Services Center and at the homes of clients, if necessary—to HIV-positive clients who experience a mental health crisis. Mental health crises include severe depression, suicidal thinking, homicidal thinking, and the inability to care for oneself due to a psychiatric condition.

The Crisis Team is available during the following hours:

Monday and Wednesday through Friday: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

Tuesday: 9:00 am to 1:00 pm

To reach the Crisis Team, clients, providers, and friends and family should call 415-476-3902. At times when the Crisis Team is not available, contact San Francisco's Mobile Crisis Services at 415-355-8300.
