DESCRIPTION: Incumbent will conduct face-to-face HIV-related trainings for HIV test counselors, mental health, and other health care providers. Trainings are conducted throughout the State of California, range in length from one day to five days, and training topics include but not limit to: HIV antibody test counselor certification, HIV-related trainings for substance treatment providers, and trainings for outreach workers; provide additional trainings to HIV mental health and health care agencies and staff as requested; monitor discussion boards for on-line training courses; participate in planning, designing, and implementation of curriculum including piloting of material and evaluation of curriculum objectives from a clinical perspective; develop appropriate resource material; review materials for clinical relevance; perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED: CSW I: Masters degree in psychology, counseling, Social Work or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. CSW II: Masters degree in psychology, counseling, Social Work or related field and possession of the requirements necessary for application for licensure as determined by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences; knowledge of issues related to HIV education and prevention counseling as well as trainings; excellent interpersonal and communications skills essential (oral and written); must be able to interact effectively with a diverse staff and training participants; must be able to act independently, identifying solutions to system problems, set priorities, and work as an integral member of the overall support team; m be able to facilitate large multiple day trainings throughout the State of California; must be able lift and carry 20-25 lbs. boxes; must be able to travel including multiple overnight stays and occasional weekend work; demonstrated excellence in attendance and reliability. COMMUNITY HEALTH PROGRAM SUPERVISOR

DESCRIPTION: The incumbent will be responsible for the coordination and supervision of various HIV test sites throughout San Francisco including the smooth functioning of all test sites, coordinating the response to medical or other emergencies that arise; client concerns; staffing needs, and safety maintenance. Will oversee and will be responsible for accurate collection of daily statistics and quality assurance of all client information collected (includes data entry on forms, other CTL paperwork and handheld devices); facilitate the flow of information from HCAT operations office/management to site staff; oversee all inventory of clinic patient referral information; direct supervision for all staff supervised; provide on site counseling services as needed; consult with Program Management team on day-to-day concerns, training needs, staffing issues and site coordination; attend bi-monthly supervision with Program Manager, monthly staff meeting and inservices, meetings, committees and trainings as required; meet weekly with HCAT Management Team; and perform other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED: Completion of two years of college with a major in behavioral science or related field and two years of experience in a health or social service field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; and knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position; at least 5 years experience working in the field of HIV/AIDS and substance abuse; at least 5 years experience working with diverse populations; current State of California Rapid Testing Technician Certification, and current State of California HIV Prevention /HIV Testing Certification; extensive knowledge and experience of HIV/AIDS, substance abuse, and psychosocial support services in San Francisco; at least 5 years experience working with HIV + clients; supervision and program management experience; able to work evenings and weekends as needed; excellent attendance and reliability. CURRICULUM EDITOR

DESCRIPTION: The Curriculum Editor will be responsible for coordinating curriculum development and revision for AHP's Training Program; track progress toward achieving Training Program's curriculum objectives; coordinate training topic development, and develop content for face-to-face and online trainings; lead collaborative effort with other AHP staff to develop training goals, objectives, structure, and exercises; conduct or coordinate literature and field research to inform training content; write curricula, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and clinical relevance and context. When appropriate, will oversee the writing of curricula by other staff and edits drafts; participate in design and formatting of curricula and online trainings; update existing curricula, as directed, and manages library of existing curricula; participate in the training of trainers to undertake new trainings and in the piloting of new and revised curriculum; conduct AHP trainings for health care providers including one-, two-, three-, and five-day trainings. As directed, will review, edit or write drafts of other AHP publications; attend general staff meetings, inservices, program meetings, and other meetings; and perform other duties as required.

REQUIRED: Graduation from college with a major in English, Journalism, or an allied field, or in a subject matter are related to the editorial specialty, and demonstrated editing and writing abilities, and at least three full years of professional editorial experience; on and equivalent combination of education and experience; sensitivity to cultural and ethnic concerns; Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team as well as independently with minimal supervision; ability to perform academic research using library databases; demonstrated excellence in writing and editing, including in-depth knowledge of library research techniques and experience developing curricula; experience conducting trainings under a range of conditions, including multiple-day trainings, scripted multiple-topic trainings, didactic and experiential trainings, trainings that require evaluation and proficiency assessment, and unscripted and tailored technical assistance; excellent communication skills; ability to analyze systems and develop plans to manage multiple, complex, and overlapping tasks that may involve both internal and external personnel; experience overseeing the curriculum development activities of other staff, who are not direct reports, or of outside contractors; ability to complete complex projects in a timely manner; sensitive to and knowledgeable about the needs of sexual and ethnic minorities in the service sector; responsible for facilitation of training pilots throughout the State of California, including travel with multiple overnight stays; able lift and carry 20-25 lbs. boxes; excellent attendance and reliability. PREFERRED: Completion of an approved Master's program in Psychology, Social Work or other appropriate area plus two to five years clinical and counseling experience; MFT or LCSW license; in-depth knowledge of the medical, psychosocial, and historical aspects of HIV disease, counseling theory and resources, behavior change theory, and issues related to HIV infection and interventions, particularly as they relate to sexual and ethnic minority populations; strong, comprehensive knowledge of skill acquisition and learning theory, training design, and curriculum development, including online curriculum development, training implementation and evaluation; experience conducting HIV-related counseling using client-centered counseling techniques and experience working with people living with HIV and increased risk of acquiring HIV; proven and extremely strong group process skills; prior UCSF or UC experience.
